Dear Go supporter,

The Seattle Go Center has always been a unique place. One of two Go Centers in the United States, we have been an example to our friends on the East Coast of just what a Go Center could be. With monthly ratings tournaments, a Sunday kyu class that has continued for almost ten years and a Tuesday family/beginner night that regularly reaches thirty-five people, we continue to grow a community of Go players that extends outside the Seattle area.

In the past, your contributions have allowed us to bring in professional players, sponsor national tournaments, and provide out-reach to local schools and cultural festivals. When renters for the downstairs space were hard to find, it was your support that allowed the center to survive and even continue to grow.

The Seattle Go Center is now looking toward a future in which our organization becomes even stronger and provides more for its members and the larger Go community. Projects being considered include more professional instruction, a greatly expanded library and restoring our well-worn boards to their original beauty.

To help us realize these goals and to keep up with the increasing cost of maintaining our building, the Go Center needs to raise its dues. On July 1, the dues will increase as follows:

				Old Dues New Dues

Lifetime $3,000 $3,000
Yearly $200 $250
Family $300 $375
Quarterly $75 $90
Monthly $30 $40
10-visit pass $30 $40
Daily $4 $5

To show our appreciation for your past support and to allow you to show your continued commitment to Seattle area Go, we are having a fund drive throughout the month of June. It is our hope that with your support we can reach a goal of $10,000 (we have already raised $5,000).

Thanks for your support,
